> I am having a horrible melt down today, can't stop crying, getting very scared I might end up in the hospital. A month ago I added Zoloft to my meds, I felt great. After a month I felt like I had the flu, headache, backache. But it's not going away. My doctor thinks it is my Risperdal going too high, so she cut it in half. That was 3 days ago, now I can't stop crying and still feel physically ill. I feel like I am going downhill fast! I am wondering if I am having a med interaction? Or is one of my meds going too high?My meds are Lamictal, Remeron, Risperdal, Cogentin and Restoril, and the recently added Zoloft. I know you guys know alot more about meds and their interactions than I do, can someone help?
Hi Rainbowlight,
I'm sorry you are going through such torture.
This past weekend my body became all achy, I was tired,
I had a cough, headache, stuffy nose...and I felt like had the flu.
I hadn't changed my medicines and the symptoms went away when
I took an antihistamine. I don't know if allergies flared up in
town or what? But now I feel better just a few days later. As far as the med interactions, I'm not too familiar
with Restoril and Cogentin.People have reported flu like symptoms when titrating Lamictal.
Maybe the Zoloft is somehow interacting? Is your body
temperature normal? I don't now. Sometimes when I add a new medicine I get a side effect flare up that is
more consistent with another medicine I was taking. Please hang in there. And don't be afraid to go to the
hospital if things are unbearable.Best Wishes,
John
