Going off Effexor XR and back to Nardil

I started Effexor XR 1 week ago. I was only taking the 37.5mg a day. After speaking with my doctor today, I am going back on the Nardil that I have been on for 17 years. I hope I don't have any withdrawal symptoms from the Effexor after just a week. Has anyone taken it a week and had withdrawal symptoms. My doctor also called Phizer and was told that Nardil wasn't being discontinued whatsoever. He wasn't going to let me go back on it, unless he was sure that I could get it. I start the Nardil next Monday.
