I was taking the Nardil for GAD and depression. My experience with Nardil was very good. I had been on it for 17 years and on a low dosage. When I couldn't sleep at night then my doctor prescribed Klonopin-.5 mg. I had undergone a few devastating things in my life, such as my best friend dying and my daughter was born with Down Syndrome and my husband just had a pancreas/kidney transplant and before was on dialysis. The nardil took off the edge. I had almost all the side effects, but it wasn't bad. They lasted only a couple of days. Looking back, It wasn't bad. I wasn't able to go above 45mg, because I was overly sensitive to the medication and when I stood up, I was blacking out. My blood pressure was so low, that the doctor actually put me on caffeiene and chocolate. As far as the dietary restrictions, I ate everything on the list, including the chesses. It didn't bother me. The only fruit I stayed away from was over-ripe bananas. Hope this helps.
