I can't speak to Parnate as I've never been on it. I'm on Nardil, bipolar and PTSD, and severe social phobia. I am so very sensitive to the Nardil, a one or two day increase can make a whole lot of difference. The Nardil has been a lifesaver for me; as far as social anxiety, it does help some, though not as much as I'd like. It seemed to help more when I was able to tolerate a slightly higher dose like I used to take.
I have such difficulty talking to people, even being around people, in a store or something. I haven't needed benzo's for 2 years, but I'm thinking about talking to me doc about it again. There was a time I could just take an additional Nardil, and my mood was lifted and I felt more confident to go out of the house; I don't want to add any other medication I'd have to take every day for my social crippleness, but I've not been in a good way this week.
