I take magnesium glycinate and I ALSO take glycine by itself, about 1 gram at night before bed. I confess that I just shake a little into my palm, throw it into a glass, add water and drink after it's dissolved. Joan Mathews Larson in her book "Depression Free Naturally" says you can also use it as a sweetener. I've done that too -- put it on strawberries.
