Actually Prozac does have a slight effect on MAO.
I'm not sure if it is A or B, but I've read it many places.


Like was mentioned in the other post, SSRI's can tend to lower dopamine. It would not effect the progression of the disease (as it does not dammage the dopamanergic system - may even protect it by upregulation of BDNF) but it may slightly worsen the symptoms.

Combining it with a dopaminergic might help or perhaps using an MAO like Nardil/Parnate instead would help.
