> Brian - if it's not too much of a pain, because my brain is functioning at very low capacity, would you be so kind as to type out a weekly taper schedule for what you wrote out under my original post? I'm afraid I have some problems following it as you presented it. Thanks ever so much.
>Hi Janelle:
Unfortunately, my taper schedule isn't structured by weeks, but rather days. However, I'll try to put in a format easier to understand.
Please keep in mind that I have just started this process, and after the first 14 days, what you see represents my plan rather than what I have actually done so far - I may need to make some adjustments along the way.The dose I am tapering off of is 2.5 mg daily (2 0.5 mg pills in the morning, 3 in the evening).
Days 1 - 7 : 1.000 mg AM, 1.000 mg PM (0.500 mg reduction, 7 days)
Days 8 - 14 : 0.750 mg AM, 1.000 mg PM (0.250 mg reduction, 7 days)
Days 15 - 23 : 0.750 mg AM, 0.750 mg PM (0.250 mg reduction, 10 days)
Days 24 - 38 : 0.500 mg AM, 0.750 mg PM (0.250 mg reduction, 15 days)
Days 39 - 58 : 0.500 mg AM, 0.500 mg PM (0.250 mg reduction, 20 days)
Days 59 - 83 : 0.250 mg AM, 0.500 mg PM (0.250 mg reduction, 25 days)
Days 84 - 113 : 0.250 mg AM, 0.250 mg PM (0.250 mg reduction, 30 days)
Days 114 - 123 : 0.125 mg AM, 0.250 mg PM (0.125 mg reduction, 10 days)
Days 124 - 138 : 0.125 mg AM, 0.125 mg PM (0.125 mg reduction, 15 days)
Days 139 - 158 : 0.000 mg AM, 0.125 mg PM (0.125 mg reduction, 20 days)As you can see, this comes out to a five month taper. Like I said before, I may stick to this or make some adjustments (probably shortening the intervals), but this is the basic idea I have in mind.
Good luck,
Brian
