Anyone on lithium for neuroprotective effects only

Posted by Adam Donahue on January 8, 2004, at 16:02:41

What would be the recommended dosage? Any studies on this?

Although I have a hard time tolerating 600 mg of Li daily, and perhaps even 300 mg is overkill, would there be any benefits at 150 mg or less?

Also, I see there is evidence that lithium increases brain gray matter, but has this been shown to translate to actual cognitive improvement, clearer thinking, better concentration, etc.?
