I really don't get and buy this sh*t that doctors spew out about SSRI's being 'good' for anxiety, Bull. I was in a bizarre catatonic-like world of anger and pain when I was on it alone. I have had similar reactions on just Effexor as well. So, I am going to ask about adding Remeron as well as Depakote/Epival, and anything else I can think of. This must have been one of my closest experiences with death.

I don't understand why doctors think they are so great for anxiety either except that must be what the pharm firms tell them. I particularly had a bad time on Prozac and Effexor with anxiety. Prozac made my anxiety so much worse I was housebound. In my experience, the benzos have been the only thing that helps and also occasionally, the anti-p's.
I hope you find something that works for you.
