As for the Vicodin - my doctor is a psychiatrist at a Big Ten univeristy teaching hospital - a VERY good place for experimental therapies and uses of meds for off-label uses. The Vicodin was NOT prescribed for the withdrawl - we had no idea how bad the withdrawl would be. I mentioned to my doc before the holidays that opiates had always helped my depression. She then discussed my cases with collegues and they gave the ok to give it a try.
