I think you can look forward to having your wife stabilized once you make the change in medication. Some people have described having a manic reaction to various antipsychotics, including Geodon (ziprasidone). I don't know why she was left on it for so long. Any one drug can affect two people very differently. Your wife could do very well on Zyprexa or Risperdal. Maybe Depakote is the way to go.
