Hello,

Your problem could definitely be your cold. Don't worry about whether or not you're sufficiently motivated until you get over it! Just try to get as much rest as possible.

That said, you might want to go back to the original Parnate dose. It should start working immediately, so you'll be able to see if that is part of the problem. I need 50mg/day to ward off the worst of my paralyzing depression so I can actually get anything done.

I have never taken an antipsychotic that didn't make me feel dull and emotionally numb at best (some did much worse things to me!). I don't know what you take Abilify for, but unless you have a thought disorder you will probably be sharper on a lower dosage.

In summary, I suspect that your motivation problem has two causes, your cold, and possibly the reduction in Parnate.
