I'm grateful for each new day, however, I'm experiencing absolutely horrendous nightmares which are so increadibly real, I can't even begin to explain. In addition, I'm on Seroquel for sleep (500mg's), and am unable to wake up, even as I feel my body writhing and shaking in terror.

Are these post-traumatic stress symptoms?-(my four years in college were spent in my dorm room in bed, increadibly depressed and terrified of people. I wasn't eating, sleeping, etc. Basically not functioning, and suffering terribly every day for four years).

(I've taken monster doses of tricyclics, ssri's, and maoi's before and didn't have many bad side effects to speak of, so I am tolerant of high doses).

I agree with Djmmm. Its unlikely an MAOI causes any nightmares...but they can cause night time myoclonus and early awakenings...

I believe it is the Seroquel....Zyprexa caused nightmares in me until I took my dose earlier (7pm)

Im not a big fan of Seroquel...I believe EPS is much more common with this drug, as by reading many anecdotes on it...

Good luck
