zyprexa is actually a dopamine blocker. It blocks the d1 and d2 receptors. It can cause loss of motivation and perhaps apathy. Sometimes, however it is not so bad. It does not block the d3 receptor and so more avaiable dopamine can reach the D3 receptor wich can be involved in anhedonia.
When I took zyprexa, I was not anhedonic, but just didn;t have the energy to do much.
