I was diagnosed with DP in college (one of my endless series of diagnoses) and I constantly have that 'half my brain is off' feeling. What is strange is that you had adverse reactions to stimulants. I have found that stimulants, and especially Provigil, help this for some reason. I suppose in my case it's ultimately due to ADHD.
