Last year I was rx'ed Wellbutrin when I should have been on an SSRI for seasonal aff. depression. i believe they have proven to be most effective for the condition (as far as AD's go) and I suffered horribly with depression until I got back on an SSRI (Lexapro) mid-way thru December.
Wellbutrin also ramped up my anxiety level(s).
Lexapro has been the best SSRI/AD I have ever taken (admist past exp.'s with Prozac, Zoloft, Celexa, Effexor XR) for seasonal aff. depression. I personally can note no adverse side-effects on Lexapro this time, either!
Best,
L.>but was somthing about this med not good for people with panic or anxiety disorders the doc gave the welbutrin for depression but said it would help with the panic attacks (up here in Alaska we have some god awfull percentage of people have depression or S.A.D disorder cause of dark 24-7) gave me the xanax to help in between cause takes two weeks for the other to kick in! I am worried because The lex started helping right away two weeks sounds like a long time is it because there different kinds of meds.
