In reply to paxil to lexapro swith - latent side effects?, posted by celticmom on December 11, 2004, at 14:07:06
First of all, if he is taking Lexapro for anxiety, in mine and even doctors opinion, Lexapro is very anxiety inducing. I actually switched from Paxil to Lexapro and thought I was having Paxil withdrawal, but after 12 weeks on Lexapro, I still had so much anxiety I was scared to do anything.
The only reason I switched was because Lexapro was new and I thought it would be worth a try for me, big mistake!
I think Lexapro is a good antidepressant if you have no anxiety, but for anxiety it's horrible. What's funny is Celexa worked good for me when I tried it a while back. How Lexapro and Celexa are similar is beyond me.
