Hi.
If what you are experiencing are genuine hallucinations, and have been experiencing them in the absence of depression, I think that makes a strong case for schizoaffective disorder as opposed to psychotic depression. This would probably argue in favor of using both a mood stabilizer and antipsychotic, along with an antidepressant if necessary.
