It's hard to say if Zyprexa is blocking the antidepressant effect of effexor. For me, zyprexa seemed to augment my antidepressant, it all depends why your taking the zyprexa. If your taking it for mania for example perhaps the effect you got from effexor before was really a manic episode, and now the zyprexa is preventing that, but if it's more then just preventing a manic episode and is also preventing a remission for your depression, that's not good.If your bipolar, you might want to try a different mood stabilizer that also has antidepressant effects and that's less sedating like abilify,lamictal or lithium.
