What's the washout period for Prozac?????

Hi
I am thinking of switching to Prozac from Parnate. Prozac is the only other med that has worked for me.
But if it doesn't work, I will go back to Parnate because at least I am getting a partial response.
QUESTION: Since the half life of Prozac is 5 weeks, can I still go by the standard of 2 weeks before restarting the Parnate? I don't think I could go 5 weeks with no AD. Not without safety issues.
