The problem with caffiene is that you will likely develop tolerance to it to where it doesn't help like it used to. Same thing with the stimulants.
You mentioned adrafinil. I actually like that idea. It is pro-social and energizing. If you try it though, I would suggest cutting a pill into quarters and doing just a quarter a day to start with, just to be on the safe side mixing it with an maoi. Regardless of how you feel on it the first day or the first few days, it really takes about 3 weeks for its good effects to show up. It's not like other stimulants. And when I was on it for over a year, I never developed tolerance to it. When I quit, there were no withdrawals. I think it is a good possibility to try. Just be aware, it is going to boost norepinephrine action, as well as dopamine D2 receptor action, and since you already have a lot of norepinephrine and dopamine floating around from the maoi, it may only take a small amount to get a huge effect. I would definitely say go easy at first.
Other than that, if the maoi isn't helping, ditch it. What's the sense?
