Benzodiazepines for SAD (gen. social anxiety dis.)

Posted by sdb on October 3, 2005, at 15:26:49

Hi!

Is here somebody having success against generalized SAD (Social anxiety disorder) without common substances like

Nardil (phenelzine), tranylcipromine, moclobemide, Klonopin (clonazepam), Lexotan (bromazepam, only very usefull >21mg (!), Versiani et al.), Topomax, Neurontin (Gabapentin) and all other SSRIS especially Paroxetin

?

Does somebody has success with common benzodiazepines, normally Valium, Prazepam, Tranxene, Solatran (Ketazolam) agaist SAD etc.? - normally only recommended for GAD probably also panic.

Unfortunately there are almost no dosage/efficacy studies for bz's transformed in N-Demethyl-Metabolites for SAD.

Kind regards

sdb
