My systolic normally sits around 140 and 120-125 when I was on Parnate and Trazodone. When I went from 30mg to 40mg I would almost pass out about 6 times a day especially if I wasn’t feeling well. BP was around 80/50! I found that splitting the dose up really helped for the hypotension as well as the afternoon sleepy time. I was ok to take 20mg first thing in the morning, but if I tried to take the last 20mg at once I had a really bad problem with the hypotension. BP can also spike occasionally on Parnate, but as long as it isn’t really high it shouldn’t be a problem since these issues tend to resolve themselves somewhat after a period of time.
