greywolf,
thank you for your thoughtful post. i will carefully consider your advice. one part of your comments that I think warrants the most attention is the question about the impact of ADs on me, and it's the issue which my parents do not understand at all. the fact is the ADs have had a huge impact on my cognitive functioning. at the point it makes me apathetic about things is extremely damaging to me because I have run on sheer drive and determination. I didn't get to a top 5 university in the world by knowing somebody. I made it on merit. That merit came from hard work. That hard work came from drive, determination, fear of failure and a desire to be the best. period. those things have all to large degrees been lost on the medication. My four years have been wasted b/c of inducement under these ADs. The last thing in the world I need is more ADs. ADs are a disease to me. I'm glad they work for you, but if I am going anywhere in this world, it will be off ADs!!
and I can't tell you how excited/happy/gleeful i am about GETTING OFF AD's NEXT MONTH!! i'm so happy. from there, I will rebuild my life. there are many years ahead. I just wasted a $180,000 education b/c i've been under the influence of ADs all four years, but I am confident my determination/drive will return when off ADs and I will work my way back... but gosh, that start time could not get here fast enough!! I WANT OFF MY ANTIDEPRESSANTS!!!
time time time...
Doug
