It was a tough decision, but, based on parnate's different side effect profile and variable efficacy (many positive results with his patients) for social anxiety, we went with the parnate. Specifically, I was concerned with the almost universal weight gain as well as sexual side effects... both of which seem to occur less often with parnate. And while the amphetamine-like metabolites of parnate definitely contributed to major appetite suppression, I still suffered from some problems "down south," which my wife wasn't always a big fan of. :)
Having said this, Nardil is still a strong possibility for the future. I'll washout the parnate, go with Klonopin for a while, and then reassess. Fortunately my Pdoc is pretty open to suggestions.
