hey there guys--- first time user hear----what a great site--i have read alot of e-mails from people who participate on this site and it's amazing the knowledge really the majority of the people have regarding different Med options--some of you need to get your psychology license, move to lousiana and become a psych., who can now legally write medication in this state--
I'll try to be Brief, I have been thru about 7 different doctors over the last 6 years----most of them seem to be only interested in seeing patients, and building their fortune rather than #1, staying informed as to the latest treatment strategies--or #2, having a determined, passionate attitude that crys out "by god we are going to get you well--whatever it takes, even if it requires being very aggressive(but safe) or really thinking outside the box"---it just seems as though if a patient leaves them or if multiple initial treatment plans fail, it doesn't bother them enough---i have finally found a doctor that i really like--
---QUESTIONlooking for some feedback regarding high-dose(90-200 mg) Parnate----i have tried multiple standard new drug strategies (i.e.: effexor--prozac--with multiple med combinations--for example, remeron+effexor+wellbutrin)---i am absolutely certain that i suffer from Atypical Depression(soft bipolar or whatever the hell they call it)---multiple, quality sources(articles) have indicated to me that many people that suffer from this specific condition can pretty much only get well on MAO Inhibitors--i have taken parnate for 3 weeks before but only at 30 mg---i felt better but was extremely apathetic as i have been with all the other drugs i've taken---basically everything i've taken offers anxiety, mood-stabalizing relief, but is accompanied by extreme apathy and motivation issues(where my overall motivation mindset is much lower than it was w/o the drugs)--
I've heard parnate at higher doses has a profound affect on dopamine as well and is highly effective for treatment-resistant patients---
So i really just wanted feedback as to what everyone thinks about this drug---i welcome any feedback, whether you've taken it or not--
thanks,
chris
