> Hi
> I haven't been around much because I have been dealing with a lot of things. I broke my wrist badly over 10 weeks ago and now I have to have surgery where they will rebreak the bone and put pins in (there are 3 breaks). Anyhow I am doing physio to get some mobility back BEFORE I have the operation.

> MaximeGosh do you bring back memories. I was having such horrible pain in my neck that I was sleeping only two to three hours per night even with Neurontin, which by the way does help some. However, I ended up having surgery, and the neurosurgeon told me that I had a bone spur stabbing into the nerve root like a shard of glass. Removed that plus the disce and put in plate and pins. I now have no pain in that area. Amazing. I don't think they can always tell if a nerve is involved, and you definitely should be seeing the doctor ASAP. I ended up in the psy unit because I was in so much pain and had not initially followed advice to consider surgery--was scared if something went wrong and did not want to be like Christopher Reeves. So, the sooner the better getting in to see the doctor and get the surgery. I started losing strength in my arm, and such is a very bad sign because when nerves are involved it can mean never getting the strength back. I dealth with my soon enough that the strength did come back and as I said the pain down my arm as well as in my neck is gone--was like a miricle.
