Yes, in theory, sadly 6 months seems to be quite quick:
Mental health services 'failing':

Anyway I live in Finland now (I'm half finnish-no jokes!) and I have an 'mental health care' appointment in a week and a half. Its through the student health services here, a sort of NHS for students. I have no idea what its going to be like, what the person who is seeing me is qualified in, or anything like that. They simply list the number along with the ones for doctors and dentists appointments. That in itself is better than in the UK! And I only have to wait about two weeks for an appointment and its free.
Hopefully they'll have heard of CBT - or at least know someone who has!
Kind regards
