SAD and Light Therapy

My Pdoc thinks i may have SAD, and i agree with him. I don't think my insurance will cover a light box so i may have to pay for it out of my own pocket. I have heard Costco has light therapy lamps for around $100.00. My question is are Costco's lamps just as effective as any other form of artificial light therapy lamps? Any advice/experience will be very much appreciated.
