Thats the bigger issue here for you.
If the truth be told, none of WANT to take meds. I struggled mightly for two years because I thought taking meds made me "weak." One day my Sunday school teacher, who is also the chief surgeon of a major hospital, told me that "God gives doctors the knowledge to make these meds to help people." Since then, I have accepted that I take meds and may for the rest of my life.
You may feel like your alone, but youre not. I bet at least at least half the ppl you know are on some type of meds for something (anxiety, depression, panic attacks, etc.). You'll find out when you bring up the subject in front of them.
I suggest that you take the benzos (I prefer Klonopin over Xanax) when needed, and do all the other things for controlling stress (Yoga, exercise, etc.), and you will do great.
We're here for you.
