(somewhat long, thanks for your patience)
i'm moving a long ways away from home for college soon and I really want to be confident with my med combination.
I struggle with social anxiety disorder and possibly (we're not sure) a minor form of BPII or cyclothemia. I take 4mg klonopin for the anxiety, and 1200mg lithium for the BP or cyclo...and also possibly (this is what i wish I knew for sure), to help my anxiety in combo with the klonopin.
I also take provigil for ADD, because ever stimulant jacked my anxiety to the extreme. However I have noticed it's almost the same feeling when I take provigil? Apetite suppressed a little bit, "sped up" feeling, it feels like another stimulant! and worst of all, it again greatly affects my anxiety. So that is something I will deal with separately.
My main agenda for a while has been to lower the lithium because I have been having to focus everything on keeping my weight in check. So I'm going down to 900mg to help a little bit. Question is, how much will this hurt my anxiety? I've read a lot of stories how much lithium can help with anxiety. epsecially taking ADD meds. How much truth is there to it? I'm afraid what might happen with the anxiety but I can't imagine with the klonopin 300mg less will be that great.
I know I spit out a lot here but any thoughts about any of this would be awesome. Really want to move to college with a better understanding. I don't really even know my true diagnosis, been on so many different families of drugs.
thanks
