I felt a lot of agitation when I first started taking Remeron, but after about 6 weeks or so, it subsided. Now, I'm my usual, well-tempered self.
I would not classify it as mania, but I was definitely grumpy and had a tendency to lash out. I also had really low energy levels and felt like I couldn't wake up.
