Its hard to say what kind of effect scopolamine would have on the bipolar cycle, ie if it induces rapid cycling or not.

I noticed a reduction in irritability on scopolamine, (which can be a symptom of hypercholinergic activity).

The highly anticholinergic TCA's can also reduce some such as irritability, agitation, anxety, etc, that sometimes get lumped in with bipolar.

I would tend to think that an anticholinergic would synergise with an antidepressant, and perhaps reduce the necessary dose.
