NMS with Emsam?

I told my doctor I stopped the Lamictal because it made me depressed and I am using Klonopin or Xanax as needed.
But, a big problem I have been having is severe muscle rigidity in my neck, shoulders and left arm. She said it is probably an NMS reaction. She said now that I am stable, I should reduce the dose. She didn't say anything else about it.
I've been going crazy with this muscle stiffness which has been causing a lot of pain.
Could the Xanax or Klonpin add to the possibility of getting NMS with Emsam - or is it just from the Emsam?
Will cutting my patch in half get rid of these awful symptoms or do I have to stop the patch?
I haven't had any other problems with Emsam - but I am worried and in pain!
