Remember that TCAs have much more intense side effects than SSRIs. Have you tried paroxetine or fluvoxamine? Iirc, they are the least stimulating SSRIs.
Alternatively, (if CNS stimulation is causing you the problem) you can try a sedative antidepressant like remeron.
