Boy I wish you would tell my endocrinologist this as his nurse practioneer is the one to order all the blood work and then make adjustments in the meds and Greg caught her in a big mistake. It takes the workload off the doc to use a Nurse Practionner as they prescribe meds legally. Same really as a Physician Assistant. In rural areas NP's run the clinics and only consult if needs with docs. Phillipa ps my neighbor is a NP in urology and does everything for the doc but the surgeries.
