> That Sure is the struggle with Nardil and so many other AD's. The issue is to find a sleep aid that is not habit forming. I do know the insomnia gets better after time (2-4 months usually). How long have you been on Nardil?? Im at 8 weeks and 90mgs/day, Insomnia is getting better, but I noticed I dont need much sleep and I cant follow much of a schedule. I sleep when I can, even if that means 2-3 naps a day of 2 hours a piece, usually im fine. its alot better then at the beginning where I would toss and turn all night even on sleep aids (benzo's, or benedril, zopiclone or even a mixtureof them) now after 8 weeks I use them sparingly when I Know I need sleep and they are working better as time goes on. ( I take 15mgs of zopiclone and a benedril and im surely knocked out for a WHOLE night... might cause hangover, but then ur good to go! just dont do it every night or ull grow a major tolerance and get hooked... See Ur doc for other suggestions, there are many. many more pple will be here to answer Ur question

>Thanks for the reply. I have been at 45mg for about 4.5 weeks now. The lack of sleep sure isn't helping my depression. I don't want to give up on Nardil I just want to get some sleep. I may need to take advantage of our nurse area at work to lay down and take a nap mid-day each day. Knowing the insomnia will get better helps. I took Nardil 20 years ago and don't remember any insomnia... but that brings up the old/new Nardil debate we probably don't need to go into.
