> I'm on regular Ritalin 5 mg daily (yes, the dose is small), but taking it all at once increases my heart rate and blood pressure. I'm thinking of getting 10 mg Metadate capsules, opening them up and taking long release beads of about 2.5 mg (I read that there are supposed to be 30% of the immediate-release beads and 70% delayed-release beads in each Metadate capsule). Thoughts?
>Consider adding guanfacine. This will reduce your blood pressure and heart rate and may improve your ADHD as well. Alternatively, a beta-blocker, such as atenolol, can solve your BP/HR problem, but is unlikely to have other benefits.
