It's quite possible that you might gain weight. But you can't know for sure unless you try it. Some people do; some don't.

I would give the 100 mg a trial run and see how you feel, primarily. The weight gain might take longer to show up, but you can always reduce or stop the seroquel, if that happens. I don't think discontinuation of 100 mg would be that difficult.

If there's some way to check your weight occasionally, you can do that. Even if the weight gain happens down the road, you may have gotten a sustained period of benefit.
