It could be a bit of both. SSRI withdrawl can cause a noradrenergic rebound. Taking reboxetine may amplify those effects. The reboxetine may also amplify rage from paxil withdawl.

I agree with the 5-htp suggestion. It shouldn't interact with the reboxetine. Some doctors also prescribe fluoxetine (prozac) to reduce paxil withdrawl. It may sound a little counterintuitive, but paxil has a short half life and prozac has a long half life. As such fluoxetine generally produces fewer withdrawl symtpoms.

Can you go back on say 5mg of paxil for a while?
