In reply to headaches on Buspar, posted by porkpiehat on June 2, 2008, at 23:33:35
Yeah, I definitely get headaches when I forget to take a dose of Buspar. I know the prescribing information talks about it building up in your blood, but trust me, it has a short efficacy and you will feel it when you miss a dose. And like you said, no painkiller gets rid of my Buspar withdrawal headaches.
I take Zoloft once a day and Buspar 3 times a day. What was really important for me was to take the Buspar at a time that was spaced as far from the ssri as possible. Otherwise (when I took both at the same time), I felt ramped up and then exhausted. Maybe try to take Buspar 2 times a day at least, and space it away from your other meds. See if it decreases the irritability?
I have never taken Lamictal, so I am not sure about that interaction.
Be well,
jflange
