Tramadol certainly does have antidepressant qualaties.
What I find especially interesting about Tramadol, is that the real mood boost kicks in 2 days after taking it. I get the actual effects of the drug on day one,( which are ok but nothing special) half of day two is fine, then comes a mild withdrawal phase of some 12 hrs, after that I feel
on top of the world for 2-3 days, before starting the cycle again. Which means taking just 2 x 50mg a week. Tolerance is not an issue when used like this. I've put it down as a potential drug induced inter- dose mild hypomanic phase, which cools off again on reintroduction of the drug. The secret (for me )to using all of these meds. is to listen to what your body tells you, and act accordingly. Everybody is different, Doctors often don't know what's best for you, but by the same token, upping the dose of a favourite drug to combat tolerance seldom if ever works in the long term.
