You mentioned you are taking medication but it isn't working. But you didn't mention some important things such as what medications are they, what doses are they, how long have you been on them, what side effects you experience, what medications did you take before your current meds, and what reactions did you have to those other medications. Also, did the rage exist before the medications. Did it get worse after starting the medications. Or was it there previously but was not impacted by the medicines at all.
To get a better view of the whole picture it would be necessary to have all that information.
For example, rage from SSRI antidepressants is not uncommon, as either a side effect or as a manifestation of a bipolar component. If you have poor sleep as a side effect or as a history, that has all the makings for rage.
That said, shooting blindfolded, some of the reasonable choices for rage would be Zyprexa, Seroquel, Xanax, Klonopin, maybe Depakote or Lamictal.
The right antidepressant could do wonders as well. But, any of them can sometimes increase rage instead of decrease it. It is possible your current medication is not only not helping, but possibly making it even worse? Ones more likely to increase rage would be Prozac or Wellbutrin.
If there is a bipolar component to your moods, your current medications could possibly be making things worse.
For natural alternatives, choose magnesium citrate or magnesium glycinate, GABA, glycine, Passionflower Extract, Lemon Balm Extract, Skullcap Extract, and good ole St Johns Wort. Any single one of them or combination of them. With the exception of St Johns Wort, they should all work very fast.
