Hello Frustrated,
Hope its okay, I'm just going to tell you what I see and what I would do (HAVE DONE).
1. Vyvanse is similar to Adderall a strong stimulent/amphetamine type drug. That alone while raising kids, etc. could make someone feel extremely irritable. I took Cytomel for 3 days and felt out of control angry and irritible. And that really is not even in my nature. I cannot imagine what kind of maniac I might become on both.
2. When my twin boys were small, I had Dx ADD and took Wellbutrin, and a couple other things. By the end of month one, I had more energy but I was yelling "raging" at my kids. I was emotionally hurting them by doing that. I stopped taking it. But I also knew what the culprit was. It doesn't seem that your Doc is paying attention here to the meds your taking.
3. I know you don't want to harm your kids, thats why you are trying to get help. Normally I would say no more. But hurting our children with our rage is simply not an option. I would asap contact your PDoc and wean off both the cytomel and the vyvanse. You may lose some energy, dishes may pile up until you get this figured out. There are no do-overs in raising our kids.
4. Find a good PDoc, tell him/her whats going on, and that this effects not only you but your family and you expect a treatment plan that takes that into account. Good for you in recognizing that your "rages" effect your kids as well as yourself. I don't hear that very often.
