I have taken high dosage Nardil with up to 300mg of bupropion together (not the extended release, though that should not make a difference). I never had a problem with the two meds, though they are contraindicated. I finally quit when the PDOC I was seeing retired and another psychiatrist at a major university freaked out when I told him that I was taking the combination. After this, my GP did not want to prescribe the combo.I thinks the main problem is the research has not been done. So doctors are going to error on the side of safety.
It was a good combo for me.
As I've said before, be careful with the Nifedipine bite & swallow capsules. I spent a night in the hospital once with very low BP after a tyramine reaction wore off long before the nifedipine did.
