Before I read the response from Jedi, I got an email from the pdoc who wrote the article I referred to in my first post and he confirmed he had treated 20 or so patients using the combination of Nardil and Wellbutrin without any reaction, so that was music to my ears (or eyes).
He also said Abilify and Nardil was a good safe and "sometimes effective" combination, which I have tried myself. He also has prescribed Remeron with MAOs without problems.
So there you have it from Jedi and other esteemed experts who helped me out of another messy situation as so many are when you are struggling with a disease as tortuous as depression. I am greatly appreciative of all of your help and support.
What we all go through at times is nothing short of a living hell and this forum proves its worth when I have had my most serious bouts with the demons. They are not easily controlled but the fight continues as it has for 30+ years. It is wearing me down though. Getting older makes this fight even more difficult. At least with youth, you think you can beat it. After 30 years I realize it will never release its hold on me. I thought it would but I have been proven wrong. I'm now aware that this disease may actually kill me, I suppose just like any other disease. Somehow I never thought depression could be a fatal disease but I have now revised my thoughts on this.
Good night friends.
