That is quite a question. I fear that the answer might be disturbing. It depends upon if gene activity remains stubbornly fixed in the dysfunctional state induced by drug exposure and the resultant maladaptive neuronal compensation. I have never encountered any medical literature dealing with this question directly. Perhaps we can find relevant literature and form an opinion.

Maybe with good nutrition, certain food supplements, physical exercise, and positive mental exercise, such a healing could happen with greater frequency.

I just don't know.
