HELP .... extreme HYPOTENSION on NARDIL????

Posted by UGOTTAHaveHOPE on August 4, 2009, at 14:31:00

Two weeks ago, I increased from 45mg of Nardil to 75 ... I wanted to do it because one of my friends is 250 pounds (like me) and said he doesn't feel anything from Nardil unless he takes between 75-90. My current side effects are 1) daytime sedation, 2) insomnia, 3) extreme hunger, 4) constipation, and 5) hypotension. However, despite all these side effects, my mood appears to be better.

URGENT: Over the last two days, I have felt extreme hypotension. In other words, I felt the normal hypotension when getting up, but then I felt an extreme case of it 5-10 minutes later.Yesterday when I was at work, I got out of my car and was dizzy. The sun was bright and everything I saw was either very white or blacked out. I walked toward the entrance, and lost my balance twice, stumbling into the wall twice. When I entered the building, I fell up the stairs. This continued for another 10-15 minutes. I felt like I was dying. Then when I left, I also had another small bout with it. I ended brushing my car against a row of trash cans and also a yellow parking pole.

Again, I am used to feeling a little bit of hypotension every time I stand up, but nothing this extreme.

Any thoughts on what may have happened?

Anything I could do to remedy the situation?

THANKS
