I've been to N.A meeting before in 2006. See the thing is, I just take my meds, and their antidepressant's and also Xanax and Nuvigel which i've taken over the years [not nuvigel]. The thing, is it more say that if you take meds daily it's an addiction?
That's what I don't understand, stimulants [which I take Nuvigel] which is a non-amphetamine stimulant, yet it works well. It's just that in the past I would re-dose during studying..
When I went to NA meetings they usally where with harsher substances, like methamphetamine and crack cocaine. Yet, if you refuse to accept that you had a problem their, it get's addressed, they help look at how it was an "addiction" and was it more "dependence' which...the only diffrence is that controlled substances are viewed more to addiction, yet Nuvigel is a catagory 4, and I take everyday just as prescibed. Just in the past, I abused stimulants some and that gave me bad rep. and it get's addressed when you go because in denial...you don't see or accept it, in those meeting they will logically say if you are an "addict" because you have to give a testimony or share with people what happened.
There's one I useed to go to about 30miles from where I live. Right now I talked to a social worker and told what was going on, thinking about having transitional housing [moving out yet your supported for a disablity] see a doctor and such.
Thanks.
