Yes, it did after a couple of weeks, but on the other hand, it stopped working after six weeks and after that it made me tired(!). But if the insomnia is not too severe, wait a few feeks. If the insomnia is too bothering, the first-line choice is generally a z-drug, like zolpidem or (es)zopiclone.
Also, which formulation are you using? If you are using the sustained or immidiate release variants, try taking the last dose as early in the day as possible, while keeping the recommended dosing interval.
